In light of the recent news, you and Alphinaud hasten to Xelphatol.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Promises Kept.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Fortemps Manor in Ishgard to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

To go to Camp Dragonhead, you can either teleport there, or exit the manor and use the Aethernet Shard to go to Coerthas Central Highlands via the Gates of Judgement, and go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Alphinaud to proceed.

Speak with the Steadfast Knight

Go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap and talk to the Steadfast House Fortemps Knight.

Special Characters in Duty Support

Xelphatol can be completed with a special character if you use the Duty Support system.

Xelphatol

Use the Duty Finder or Duty Support to enter Xelphatol. Please see the Xelphatol Guide for a walkthrough.

After you complete the duty in Xelphatol and exit the area, there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud Again

Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Two Sides of a Coin.
