This guide explains how to unlock the Scrip Exchange and Collectables for crafters and gatherers in FFXIV.

Overview

At level 50, crafters and gatherers can unlock a feature called Collectables. These are unique items that can be crafted and gathered, then exchanged for a currency called scrip. Scrip can be used to purchase materia, gear sets, Folklore Tomes (which unlock special gathering nodes), and more. This page explains the steps to unlock collectables and scrip.

Requirements

Before you can unlock scrip and collectables, you need to level up a crafter or gatherer class to level 50, and complete the Heavensward Main Scenario Quest "The Better Half".

Inscrutable Tastes

After you meet the above requirements, you can go to Ishgard, at Foundation (x:10.2, y:10.5), and talk to Morgayne to start the quest "Inscrutable Tastes". Complete this quest to unlock Collectables. Talk to any Collectable Appraiser to see a list of collectable items that you can craft and gather, as well as the number of scrip you will receive in exchange. The list of collectables is also available in your Crafting Log and Gathering Log (Main Menu > Logs) by clicking the tab beneath the search box. After you turn in collectables, you can talk to any Scrip Exchange or Splendors Vendor to exchange scrip for items.

Go West, Craftsman

After you complete "Inscrutable Tastes" (see above), if you level up a crafter or gatherer class to level 60, you can talk to Lydirlona at Mor Dhona (x:22.4, y:6.8) to start the quest "Go West, Craftsman". Completing this quest will unlock the Splendors Vendor in Idyllshire, who offers new Folklore Tomes that you can purchase with scrip.

Reach Long and Prosper

After you complete "Go West, Craftsman" (see above), if you level up a crafter or gatherer class to level 70, you can talk to Galiena at Rhalgr's Reach (x:9.8, y:12.5) to start the quest "Reach Long and Prosper". Completing this quest will unlock the Splendors Vendor in Rhalgr's Reach, who offers new Folklore Tomes that you can purchase with scrip.

The Boutique Always Wins

After you complete "Go West, Craftsman" (see above), if you level up a crafter or gatherer class to level 80, and complete the Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quest "City of Final Pleasures", you can talk to Mowen at Eulmore (x:11.5, y:10.7) to start the quest "The Boutique Always Wins". Completing this quest will unlock the Splendors Vendor in Eulmore, who offers new Folklore Tomes that you can purchase with scrip.

Expanding House of Splendors

After you complete "Go West, Craftsman" (see above), if you level up a crafter or gatherer class to level 90, you can talk to Ofpilona at Radz-at-Han (x:11.7, y:9.6) to start the quest "Expanding House of Splendors". Completing this quest will unlock the Splendors Vendor in Radz-at-Han, who offers new items that you can purchase with scrip.
