How to Defeat Death Claw in "Crawling Death"
Clawmarks will place a set of claw marks along one edge of the area, followed by another set. The first set of claw marks will perform line attacks straight across the area, followed by the second set. Try not to get confused by the overlapping appearance of the claw marks. You just need to be sure not to be in front of the first set of claw marks, then move out of the way of the second set after the first ones perform their line attacks.
If the boss casts Vertical Crosshatch, stand next to its left or right side, then move in front or behind as soon as the attack goes off. If the boss casts Horizontal Crosshatch, stand in front of it or behind it, then move in to the left or right as soon as the attack goes off.
When the boss casts Skulking Orders, stand so that the three lines are pointing at you. A copy of the boss will appear at the end of the three lines and perform a cone attack toward the center of the area.
The Grip of Poison damages all participants and inflicts a Bleeding debuff that inflicts damage over time. It can be healed with Esuna.
When the boss casts Threefold Marks, look for a copy of the boss that appears at one edge of the area. It will create three sets of claw marks, with one safe spot in each. Try not to be confused by the overlapping appearance of the claw marks, and just keep track of where the safe spot is, in the order that each set of claw marks that appeared. You may find it easier to just look for the first and second safe spot, then as soon as you are standing in the second safe spot, look for the other spot with only one claw mark, because that is the third safe spot.
The next time the boss casts Vertical Crosshatch or Horizontal Crosshatch, it will leave behind four scratch marks on the ground. Two of the scratch marks will start to glow. If the glowing scratches are next to each other, go between them, then go to the corner that you're closest to, so you'll be behind the two copies of the boss that appear on those two glowing scratch marks. After the first attacks go off, run to the opposite corner to avoid the next ones that will occur. If the glowing scratches are opposite each other, go to the north or south corner, then when the attacks go off, move to the east or west corner.
When the boss casts Manifold Marks, it will tether to two untargetable copies of itself. They will each create claw marks. Quickly stand in a safe spot for the first set of claw marks, then after the first attacks go off, move to a safe spot for the second set.
