You depart from the Vath settlement to inform Vidofnir that you have dealt with the Gnath threat.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Lord of the Hive.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in the Dravanian Forelands to begin the quest.

Speak with Vidofnir

You can either teleport to Anyx Trine, or you can go southwest to where a bridge crosses the river, and go north from there to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Go to the quest icon and talk to Vidofnir to proceed.

Meet Vidofnir in the Cavern of Mourn

Go northwest up the stairs and through the archway to the northwest of the Anyx Trine Aetheryte. Turn left and go counter-clockwise up the spiral stairway. When you reach a small dragon named Khash Thah, go through the archway into the large chamber, then turn right and go northwest through the large archway to the outside. Continue going northwest to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. When you reach the orange circle on the map, check on the sparkling Destination. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Sohm Al

Use the Duty Finder or Duty Support to enter Sohm Al. Please see the Sohm Al Guide for a walkthrough.

After you complete the duty in Sohm Al and exit the area, there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest.

Unlock Flying in the Dravanian Forelands

"Mourn in Passing" is the final quest for unlocking Dravanian Forelands Aether Currents. If you have completed the other Aether Current quests and attuned to the Aether Currents in the field in that area, which you can find using the Aether Compass in Main Menu > Duty > Collection in that area, you will be able to fly in the Dravanian Forelands.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, attune to the Churning Mists Aetheryte if you have not yet done so, then talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Beyond the Clouds. There will be a cutscene.
