Cid's repairs are complete, and you can go to the Howling Eye to confront Garuda whenever you are ready.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Lady of the Vortex, and have reached level 44.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Cid at the airship landing in Gridania to begin the quest. (If you are outside of the airship landing, you can speak with Lionnellais in the airship landing area to reach Cid.) to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud

Talk to Alphinaud to unlock the Howling Eye. You can talk to Cid if you need to go back to Gridania to prepare.

The Howling Eye

Use the Duty Finder or Duty Support to enter The Howling Eye. Please see the The Howling Eye for a walkthrough.

After you defeat Garuda and exit the area, there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud Again

After the cutscene, you will be at the Ul'dah airship landing. Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest. (If you are outside of the airship landing, you can speak with Elyenora in the airship landing area to reach Alphinaud.)

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Reclamation.
