Minfilia sends you to Swift at the Hall of Flames about a rumor of a masked man, and Swift sends you to the merchant Hihibaru at Highbridge.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Shadow of Darkness.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Hihibaru in Eastern Thanalan to begin the quest.

Speak with Merchants

There are three merchants that you can speak to in any order. For example, go northwest and descend from the ledge to talk to the Multiloquent Merchant. Then go east across the bridge and talk to the Absent-minded Merchant halfway across. Then go farther east and talk to the Impassive Merchant just beyond the end of the bridge.

Speak with Hihibaru

Go back east across the bridge and talk to Hihibaru to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, you will need to be at least level 25 to proceed to the next quest. After you reach level 25, talk to Hihibaru to accept the next quest: Where There Is Smoke.
