Ahtbyrm asks you to investigate a group of pirates whom he suspects of plotting an attack on the Victory.

Requirements

This quest is only available if you started the game in Limsa Lominsa, you have completed the quest Righting the Shipwright, and have reached level 13.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Ahtbyrm in the Moraby Drydocks in Lower La Noscea to start the quest.

Speak with Ghimthota

Go southwest from Ahtbyrm and talk to Ghimthota, who is near the Moraby Drydocks aetheryte.

Speak with C'nangho

Go up the stairs south of the aetheryte and exit through the gate. Talk to C'nangho, who is standing next to the gate.

Confront the Suspicious Individuals

Go southeast, then east, and make your way down the slopes. Talk to the Disreputable Pirate. There will be a cutscene.

Report to Ghimthota

Go back to the Moraby Drydocks and talk to Ghimthota to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After completing the quest, you will need to be at least level 14 to proceed to the next quest. After you reach level 14, talk to Ghimthota to accept the next quest: Victory in Peril.
