This quest is available if you have completed the quest The Best Inventions, and have reached level 40.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Cid to begin the quest.

Question the People of Whitebrim Front

Go downstairs, but before you leave the building, turn right at the base of the stairs and talk to Joellaut. Then go west to go outside, and go south down the stairs. Turn right and talk to Patrick. Go east past the stairs, then turn left and go through the door past the moogle. Talk to Alboise. Go south to go outside, then go south past the fire pit and into the building to the south. Talk to Haustefort.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go north to go outside, then talk to Alphinaud at the fire pit to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: By the Lights of Ishgard.
