Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest He Who Would Not Be Denied.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Fortemps Manor in Ishgard to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Tataru

Use an Aethernet Shard to go to the Forgotten Knight Aethernet Shard, then go southeast toward the quest icon on the map. Go through the double doors and down the stairs (if you are tempted to jump down from above, keep in mind that other players use this area for roleplay). Talk to Tataru to proceed.

Question the Residents of the Brume

Go downstairs in the Forgotten Knight and go through the double doors to the outside. Go to each of the quest icons on the map to talk to a Brume Starveling to the southeast, a Brume Elder to the southwest, and a Brume Rat farther southwest.

Report to Alphinaud

Alphinaud is outside in the Brume. Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: The Spice of Life.
