After you deliver Fufulupa's letter to Leofric in Lost Hope, Leofric has a request for you.

Requirements

This quest is only available if you started the game in Ul'dah, you have completed the quest Last Letter to Lost Hope, and have reached level 12.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Leofric, northeast of Black Brush Station in Central Thanalan, to start the quest.

Defeat Baron von Quiveron III Esquire

The next destination is marked by a small orange circle on the map and minimap. You might need to zoom in to see it, or just go toward the orange arrow on your minimap to find it.

There is an ominous purple circle in that area. On your way there, you may be attacked by Quiveron Attendants. Try to avoid letting more than one of them see you at a time. When you get past the guards, go into the purple circle. Baron von Quiveron III Esquire will attack. He can inflict paralysis. If you have Spine Drops, you can use them to remove the paralysis.

Report to Leofric

After you defeat the Baron, go north to return to Leofric. Talk to him to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After completing the quest, talk to Leofric to accept the next quest: Passing the Blade.
