A Fickle Existence - Quest Guide

You have learned of the plight of Gatetown and their dependence on Eulmore, and Alphinaud's frustration is plain.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Open Arms, Closed Gate.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Kholusia to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Mosha-Moa

Go northwest to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Attune to the Aetheryte in Wright, then go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Mosha-Moa.

Search for the Mystel

Go south to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Destination. Move the crosshairs to the right of the tower and zoom in to see a Mystel walking back and forth near the base of the tower. Move the crosshairs over the Mystel and follow the on-screen instructions to Execute Confirm.

Speak with the Blue-Haired Mystel

Go south to the quest icon and talk to the Blue-haired Mystel. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Rescue the Weakened Wretch

Go north along the cliff edge, then when you reach the brick wall, go past it and go west. When you can see a beach to the left, go southwest to the quest icon on the map. Check on the Weakened Wretch. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud

Talk to Alphinaud to proceed.

Speak with Tristol

You can either teleport to Wright, or just go north until you can go northeast to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Talk to Tristol to complete the quest.
