Vanaspati - Dungeon Guide

This page explains how to complete the level 85 Endwalker duty, Vanaspati.

How to Unlock

Vanaspati, a 4-player dungeon, is unlocked by the level 85 Main Scenario Quest Skies Aflame.

Terminus Snatcher

Note of Despair damages all players.

Mouth Off makes several mouths appear on the ground. Some are speaking, and some are silent. The speaking mouths will perform a circle attack centered on themseleves after a moment. Stand on one of the non-speaking mouths to avoid the attack.

Last Gasp is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

The boss will sometimes cast What is Right or What is Left. The boss will raise the indicated arm and hit the entire half of the area on the side with its raised arm.

Sometimes, What is Right/Left is paired with Mouth Off, so you will need to be on the safe side as well as standing on a non-speaking mouth.

Sometimes, What is Right/Left is paired with wallow, which marks all players with circle attack markers that follow them. Players should spread apart from each other to avoid overlapping each other with their circles, while also staying on the safe side of What is Right/Left.

Lost Hope inflicts Temporary Misdirection on all players, only allowing the player to move in the direction that the hand above their head is pointing. You can stand still to make the hand above your head start spinning, then start moving when it is pointing in the direction that you want to go. This will occur before Mouth Off, so you will need to make the hand above your head point toward one of the non-speaking mouths so you can avoid the attack.

Terminus Wrecker

Meaningless Destruction damages all players.

Unholy Water makes orbs appear over the area. Avoid these orbs at first. If you approach one, it will temporarily trap you inside and give you Water Resistance Down II status and Fire Resistance Up status. Then the boss will cast Aether Siphon. After a moment, there will either be a knockback indicator from the center of the area, or there will be an attack marker that covers the entire area. If there is a knockback indicator, avoid being knocked back in the orbs (either by positioning yourself so you are knocked between orbs, or by using a knockback-prevention move), because the knockback is a water attack, and being in an orb will make you weak to the attack. If there is an attack marker over the entire area, go into an orb that is not occupied by another player, because the area-wide attack is a fire attack, and the orb will protect you from the attack.

Total Wreck is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

Poison Heart targets a random player with a stack marker. Unmarked players should stack together with the marked player to reduce the damage of the attack.

Svarbhanu

Flames of Decay damages all players.

Aetherial Disruption places four line markers across the area. Two of the lines will have red circles in them, and the other two will have white triangles in them. Then you will see either a large red circle displayed on the screen or a large white triangle displayed on the screen. If there is a large red circle, don't stand on the lines with red circles, because they are about to explode. Similarly, if there is a large white triangle, don't stand on the lines with white triangles, because they are about to explode. At the same time, the boss targets all players with Crumbling Sky, marking all players with circle attack markers that follow them. Players should spread apart from each other to avoid overlapping each other with their circles, while also avoiding standing on the indicated line markers.

Gnashing of Teeth is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

Cosmic Kiss places a knockback indicator in the center of the area. This is paired with Aetherial Disruption, so be sure to either use a knockback-prevention move such as Surecast, Arm's Length, etc, or position yourself to avoid being knocked onto one of the line attack markers. This may also be paired with Crumbling Sky, so you will have to avoid overlapping your circle with other players as well.

After a while, the boss will become untargetable and float above the north side of the area. Watch the boss and you will see three large rocks appear in front of it. These rocks will perform line attacks in the direction that they are facing. Stand on a line of the area that does not have a rock facing it. At the same time, you will need to avoid circle attack markers that appear in random locations in the area.

Completing the Quest

Defeating the boss will complete one of the quest objectives for the Main Scenario Quest Skies Aflame.
