The Drowned City of Skalla - Dungeon Guide

You find an underwater entrance in Loch Seld to the ruins of Skalla, where a treasure trove may or may not await.

How to Unlock

The Drowned City of Skalla 4-player dungeon is unlocked by the level 70 Main Scenario Quest The Mad King's Trove.

Kelpie

The edge of the area will be unsafe to stand in, so avoid it.

Torpedo is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

Rising Seas damages all players.

The boss will jump to a side of the area and begin casting Hydro Pull or Hydro Push. Hydro Push will push you away from the boss, and Hydro Pull will pull you toward the boss.

Bloody Puddle will mark players with circle markers that follow them. The marked players should avoid overlapping other players with their circle, and they should also go to an edge of the area. The circle markers will leave behind puddles that will cause damage, and orbs will appear above the puddles that will each tether to a player. The tethered players need to keep moving away from the orbs and also avoid dragging the orbs toward other players, because the orbs will repeatedly cast circle attacks around themselves.

The Old One

Mystic Light targets a random player with a large cone attack marker. Stay away from the attack marker to avoid the attack.

Mystic Flame places large circle attack markers beneath random players. Move out of the circle markers to avoid the attack.

The boss will summon four Subservients that are tethered to the boss. Defeat them quickly to prevent them from casting Self-Destruct, which will damage all players if The Old One finishes casting Order to Detonate before all Subservients are killed.

Shifting Light transforms all players into Spriggans and adds an action to your hotbar/crossbar called Shatterstone, then summons more Subservients tethered to the boss. Shatterstone places a crystal on the ground that will detonate after a short delay, so stand under a Subservient and use your Duty Action to place the stone to detonate under it.

Hrodric Poisontongue

When the boss raises his right arm high in the air, he is about to do a high-damage unmarked cone attack in front of himself, so make sure not to be standing in front of the boss when he has his right arm in the air.

When the boss crouches on the ground and looks behind him, he is about to do a high-damage unmarked cone attack behind himself, so make sure not to be standing in behind of the boss when he crouches on the ground and looks behind him.

The Spin is a proximity attack near the boss. Move away from the boss to reduce the damage.

Ring of Chaos marks a player with a large donut attack marker. The marked player should move near the boss to allow other players to safely continue attacking him.

Eye of the Fire is a gaze attack. Turn your character to face away from the boss to avoid this attack.

Circle of Chaos marks one or more players with circle attack markers that follow them. Players should spread apart from each other to avoid overlapping each other with their circles.

Cross of Chaos marks a player with a cross-shaped attack marker. This player should stop moving so other players can find a safe spot away from the attack marker.

Words of Woe is an unmarked line attack in front of the boss. It is indicated by the boss holding his hands near his mouth. When the boss does this, players should avoid standing in front of the boss.

As the fight progresses, Ring of Chaos and Cross of Chaos can occur at the same time, so the marked players need to make sure to stop moving as soon as they have positioned themselves to avoid overlapping each other with their markers.

Completing the Quest

Defeating the boss will complete one of the quest objectives for the Main Scenario Quest The Mad King's Trove.
