The Dead Ends - Dungeon Guide

This page explains how to complete the level 90 Endwalker duty, The Dead Ends.

Caustic Grebuloff

Wind will cause wind to blow across the area. Miasmata creates orbs that float over the area. Each orb will have a circle attack marker centered on itself. These orbs will be pushed slowly across the area by the wind, causing a series of circle attacks to occur along the path that each orb travels. Look for gaps in the orbs where you can safely stand without being in any orb's path.

Cough Up targets each player with a series circle attacks. Players need to keep moving to avoid each successive circle attack.

Craven Companionship places a red triangle above players' heads. All marked players need to stand near at least one other marked player to remove the red triangles.

Wave of Nausea is a donut attack where the only safe area is under the boss. This may be paired with Wind and Miasmata, so be sure to avoid the orbs' circle attacks, and after the donut attack occurs, find a gap in the orbs so they will not hit you when the wind pushes them across the area.

Pox Flail is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

Blighted Water targets a random player with a stack marker. Unmarked players should stack together with the marked player to reduce the damage of the attack.

Befoulment marks all players with circle attack markers that follow them. Players should spread apart from each other to avoid overlapping each other with their circles.

Peacekeeper

Decimation is a high-damage attack on all players.

Electromagnetic Repellant creates a damaging area under the boss. Avoid this area.

War Machines places floating triangular machines surrounding the boss. A glowing orb will appear in front of each triangular machine. There will be a line attack in front of each orb, so make sure to stand in a gap between the machines. During this time, Order to Fire marks all players with circle attack markers that follow them. Players should spread apart from each other to avoid overlapping each other with their circles, while also avoiding standing in front of any of the floating machines.

No Future creates a series of large circle attack markers in sequence, moving outward from the boss. Stand in a gap between the first two sets of circle markers. However, another series of circle markers will appear, overlapping the first set. Wait for the first two circle attacks to occur, then move into the gaps between the circles of the second set.

Peacefire creates a series of rotating, large circle attack markers. Keep moving to avoid these attacks. Toward the end of this attack, the boss will use War Machines again. Wait for the orbs to appear in front of the machines, then stay in a gap between the machines' orbs, then as soon as the line attacks occur, move out of the circle attack that has appeared under you.

Eclipsing Exhaust places a knockback indicator in the center of the area, as well as (non-rotating) large circle attack markers around the edge. Make sure not to be knocked onto a circle attack. Or you can use a knockback-prevention move such as Surecast or Arm's Length.

Elimination is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

Ra-la

Warm Glow damages all players.

Pity is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

When the boss casts Prance, it will jump to four locations, leaving behind a growing circle attack marker. Keep moving to avoid each circle attack.

Lifesbreath is a line attack that causes butterflies to appear. Some butterflies will be facing north and some will be facing south. Make sure that you are hiding behind a butterfly, because each one will perform a line attack in the direction that it is facing.

Benevolence targets a random player with a stack marker. Unmarked players should stack together with the marked player to reduce the damage of the attack.

When the boss casts Loving Embrace, it will raise one of its wings, which will start to glow. It will hit the entire side of the boss that its wing is pointing toward, so stand on the side of the boss with the wing that is NOT raised and glowing.

Still Embrace marks all players with circle attack markers that follow them. Players should spread apart from each other to avoid overlapping each other with their circles.

Later in the battle, the boss will use Loving Embrace at the same time as the line of butterflies is present, making one side of the butterflies unsafe. Make sure to stand on the safe side with the boss's non-glowing wing to dodge the boss's wing attack as well as the butterfly attack. The butterfly attack will occur first.
