After you make it through the Meso Terminal, Calyx introduces you to a new enemy in the Ageless Necropolis.

How to Unlock

The Ageless Necropolis, an 8-player trial, is unlocked by the level 100 Main Scenario Quest A Terminal Invitation.

Necron

Fear of Death damages all characters.

Hands will appear in portals on the ground. Each set of hands will do a line attack in the direction that their fingers are pointing. Make sure that you are standing behind a set of hands such that there aren't any other hands pointing at you.

When the boss casts Cold Grip, look at its arms to see which one is glowing. The boss will first hit the sides of the area under its arms, so stand in front of the boss, then it will do a line attack centered on its glowing arm, which will hit the middle of the area, so move away from the glowing arm as soon as the first attack occurs.

Memento Mori is a line attack in front of the boss. This attack will create an unsafe area where the attack hit, so don't stand there. In this unsafe area, there will be arms pointing left or right. Make sure that you are not standing in front of where the any of the hands are pointing, or you will be hit with a line attack.

Blue Shockwave is is a high-damage attack on one of the two players highest in the enmity list that also places a very large cone attack marker on that player. The cone attack marker follows that player, so they should move to a corner near the boss to give everyone else a safe spot to stand in.

When the boss casts Soul Reaping, look at the shape that it creates in front of itself. If it creates a donut shape, stand very close to the boss to avoid the donut attack. If it creates a filled circle, move away from the boss's target ring to avoid the circle attack.

Aetherblight stores either a donut attack or a circle attack, so try to remember which indicator the boss created in front of itself.

When the boss casts Grand Cross, stand in the middle of the area to avoid the donut attack. This attack also damages all characters.

When two orbs spin around the area, make sure not to be standing in their line attack marker when the countdown for that attack marker completes. You can safely walk on the line attack marker if the countdown hasn't finished yet.

When the entire area is covered with two markers that cross in the middle, go to the edge of the area to be as far away from the middle as possible, and make sure you are also centered between the two nearest orbs.

Neutron Ring damages all characters.

Three Icy Hands enemies will appear, and the boss's gauge will increase until these enemies are defeated, so defeat them as quickly as possible. The Icy Hands will do line attacks in the direction that their hands are pointing.

Darkness of Eternity damages all characters. You will then be sent to a platform by yourself where you have to defeat three enemies that do line attacks where their hands are pointing. After you defeat these enemies, step on the glowing circles until you are back in the main area.

Specter of Death creates untargetable hands on the sides of the area. Don't be in front of where the palms of the hands are facing, because they will do large line attacks in that direction.

When the boss casts Relentless Reaping, watch the circle and/or donut indicators in front of the boss, along with the number indicators that appear in front of the boss. Be sure to remember which indicators appeared, and which number each indicator corresponded to. Then boss then casts Crop Rotation, rotating the number indicators, which is followed by Seasons of Blight. During Seasons of Blight, one of the numbers will be glowing. The glowing number represents the next attack that will occur. Each of the four attacks will occur quickly, one after another, so move in or out as needed to dodge these attacks.

Mass Macabre creates glowing circles on the floor, each with four smaller circles within. Four players must stand on a circle to make it disappear. Make all circles disappear to avoid damage.

Completing the Quest

Defeating the boss will complete one of the quest objectives for the Main Scenario Quest A Terminal Invitation.
