Before you resume your work for the Scions, you acquaint yourselves with Ishgard.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Coming to Ishgard.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Fortemps Manor in Ishgard to begin the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with the House Fortemps Manservant

Talk to the House Fortemps Manservant to proceed.

Speak with the House Fortemps Manservant in the Hoplon

Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap, and talk to the House Fortemps Manservant. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Elaisse

Go southwest along the curving stairway. You will go past the Saint Reymanaud's Cathedral aetheryte shard along the way. Continue down the curving stairway, and go southwest to find a flight of stairs leading down to the Jeweled Crozier. Attune to the Aethernet Shard there if you haven't already, then go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Elaisse. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with the House Fortemps Manservant in the Aetheryte Plaza

If you attuned to the Ishgard aetheryte, you can use the Jeweled Crozier Aethernet Shard to go there. Otherwise, go west through the market to return to the Foundation area, then go southeast, attuning to the Skysteel Manufactory Aethernet Shard on the way, and continue on to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Attune to the Ishgard aetheryte if you have not yet done so, then speak to the House Fortemps Manservant to complete the quest.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to the House Fortemps Manservant to accept the next quest: The Better Half. There will be a cutscene.
