Aymeric speaks to you of events of the past, when suddenly a Temple Knight summons him to the Infirmary.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Heroes of the Hour.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Aymeric in Ishgard to begin the quest.

Speak with Aymeric

Talk to Aymeric to proceed. Several cutscenes will play in sequence. If you are ready, say Yes. These cutscenes are important, so it is recommended to watch them either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Aymeric Again

After the cutscenes, go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Aymeric to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go north and use the Aethernet Shard to go to the Last Vigil Aethernet Shard. Talk to the House Fortemps Guard and say Yes to enter Fortemps Manor. Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

With the completion of this quest, you can now start several new optional quests:

After you complete the quest, talk to the House Fortemps Knight to accept the next quest: Promises Kept. There will be a cutscene.
