This page explains how to complete the level 85 Endwalker quest "That We Might Live".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Beyond the Depths of Despair.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Alphinaud in Thavnair to begin the quest.

Speak with Matsya

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to Matsya to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with Matsya Again

Go west to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Along the way, there is an Aether Current near the quest icon that you can attune to, and another Aether Current north of that.

Then go to the quest icon and talk to Matsya to proceed.

Search for Qerasaf

Go southwest to the orange circle on the map. Go to the southeast part of the orange circle on the map. Dismount and enter the purple circle, then defeat the Terminus Bellwether and Terminus Wrecker that attack.

Aid the Wounded Qerasaf

Check on Qerasaf to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Survey the Area

Go northeast to the orange circle on the map. Check on the sparkling Destination to proceed.

Continue to Survey the Area

Go east to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Check on the sparkling Destination to proceed. Defeat the Terminus Shadower that attacks.

Then go southeast to the orange circle on the map. Check on the sparkling Destination to proceed.

Speak with Matsya Once More

Go northeast to the quest icon on the map and talk to Matsya to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, talk to Matsya to accept the next quest: When All Hope Seems Lost. There will be a cutscene.
