Sea of Sorrow - Quest Guide

This page explains how to complete the level 83 Endwalker quest "Sea of Sorrow".

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest A Trip to the Moon.

Starting the Quest

Talk to the Watcher in Mare Lamentorum to begin the quest.

Speak with the Faded Spirit

You can optionally go southeast into the building and go down the ramp, then exit the building and go to the quest icon from there. Otherwise, go northeast off of the ledge, then go to the quest icon and talk to the Faded Spirit to proceed.

Speak with the Dreaming Spirit

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the Dreaming Spirit to proceed.

Speak with the Forlorn Spirit

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the Forlorn Spirit to proceed.

Speak with the Somber Spirit

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the Somber Spirit to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Approach the Lustrous Dog and Follow its Lead

Check on the Lustrous Dog. Follow it as it moves along. You can use Lock On (press NUM5 on keyboard or L3 on controller) and Auto-Move (click the mouse wheel, or press R on keyboard, or press LB while using the left stick on controller) to follow automatically. After the Lustrous Dog stops, enter the glowing circle.

Speak with the Temperamental Spirit

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the Temperamental Spirit to proceed. Defeat the three Lingering Grief that attack.

Speak with the Temperamental Spirit Again

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the Temperamental Spirit to proceed. There will be a cutscene.

Approach the Lustrous Dog and Follow its Lead Again

Speak with the Anguished Spirit

Go to the quest icon on the map and talk to the Anguished Spirit to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene.

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, check on the Lustrous Dog to accept the next quest: The Martyr.
