Haurchefant will oversee the release of Alphinaud and Tataru, and asks you to meet with Count Edmont at Fortemps Manor.

This quest is available if you have completed the quest Divine Intervention.

Starting the Quest

Talk to Haurchefant in the Tribunal in Ishgard to begin the quest.

Speak with Edmont

Use the nearest Aethernet Shard to go to the Last Vigil Aethernet Shard. Talk to the House Fortemps Guard to enter Fortemps Manor. Talk to Count Edmont. There will be a cutscene.

Speak with the Priest

Go outside and go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. Speak to the Ishgardian Priest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Speak with Alphinaud

Go south and talk to the House Fortemps Guard to enter Fortemps Manor. Talk to Alphinaud to complete the quest. There will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Aether Current Quests

With the completion of this quest, you can now start two blue quests, each of which unlocks an Aether Current in its respective area. The quests are as follows.

• Coerthas Western Highlands: Bridge Over Frozen Water
• The Sea of Clouds: Clipped Wings

Next Main Scenario Quest

After you complete the quest, you will need to be at least level 51 to proceed to the next quest. After you reach level 51, talk to Alphinaud to accept the next quest: Flame General Affairs.
