How to Unlock Autobuild

To unlock the Autobuild ability, go to the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Depths. To get there, start at Iayusus Lightroot (which you go to as part of Camera Work in the Depths), and go in the direction that the statues are pointing. Read A Mystery in the Depths for more details (but you don't have to start this quest to get the Autobuild ability).

Where to Find New Schematics

Most Autobuild schematics can be found in the Depths, in the form of Schema Stones or Yiga Schematics.

Schema Stones

Schema Stones can be obtained by finding abandoned mines in the Depths and talking to the Steward Constructs there. Abandoned Mines are in areas of the Depths that are in the same locations as towns on the surface.

  • Automated Ally: Abandoned Eldin Mine
  • Beam Cycle: Shrine of Resurrection
  • Bolt Boat: Abandoned Lanayru Mine
  • Bridge: Abandoned Hateno Mine
  • Dirigible: Abandoned Lurelin Mine
  • Fanplane: Great Abandoned Central Mine
  • Hot-Air Balloon: From Josha in Lookout Landing after you complete A Mystery in the Depths
  • Hovercraft: Abandoned Gerudo Mine
  • Instant Cannon: Abandoned Tarrey Mine
  • Instant Scaffold (tall): Abandoned Kara Kara Mine (-3229, -2477, -0475)
  • Launch Pad: Abandoned Kakariko Mine
  • Rocket Platform: Abandoned Hebra Mine

Yiga Schematics

Yiga Schematics can be found at Yiga fortresses in the Depths. At each fortress, defeat the Yiga who has a magical symbol, and this will unlock the door of a building in the fortress, where you will find a chest that contains a Large Crystallized Charge, and another chest that contains a Yiga Schematic.
