Whenever you defeat a Lynel of any type, you are guaranteed to get at least one Lynel Hoof.

Lynels can be found in the Depths beneath where Stables are on the Surface, and they can also be found in certain locations on the Surface.

There are 34 Lynels in Hyrule. See the List of Lynel Locations. Some of the lower-level Lynels may become a stronger type depending on how many enemies you have defeated.
