A Precise Strike

Attach the metal cube to the stone arm that hangs down above the orb. Use Ultrahand to pull back the metal cube and push it upward. Then let go of it and it will hit the orb. If you hit it at a good angle, the orb will roll into the glowing switch and open the bars.

Before you go, there is a hallway across from the bars that opened. Go through to find another metal cube, orb, and glowing switch. This time, the switch is moving. Attach the metal cube to the arm and try to use it to hit the orb into the moving target. Make sure not to hit it too forcefully, or it will just roll out of the switch. Once you get the orb into the moving switch, the bars will open, and you can open the chest inside, which contains a Mighty Zonaite Longsword.
