Building a Bridge is Optional

You can reach Rito Village without building a bridge, so you should only build a bridge if you want an extra challenge for fun. See How to Reach Rito Village for an easy way to get there.

How to Build the Bridge

There is an axe behind the Lucky Clover Gazette building, and five logs already cut. Start by attaching two logs in a T-shape, then attach a vertical log near the middle of the middle piece, so that it is slightly closer to the top of the T than the other end of the log. You can add another log or two to the side of the middle piece of the T to make it easier to walk across when you put it in place.

Then rotate this upside-down so that you can place the top of the T up against the two posts where the bridge is missing. This way, a vertical log will hang down against the broken bridge against the cliff wall, and the top of the T will hold it in place against the two posts. (The picture below shows it at an angle to better show its shape.)

Attach at least two logs side-by-side, then attach them at an angle sticking up at the end of your bridge. You should be able to walk onto your bridge by walking on the pile of snow on the right side.

At this point, you can make the rest of the bridge on the road. Make it four logs long and at least two logs wide. Attach it to the end of the angled logs at the end of the bridge, but make it parallel the ground.
