You go to the northwest part of the land of Kitakami to meet up with Kieran at the Paradise Barrens.

Explore the Barrens

In the southeast part of the Paradise Barrens, you can battle Satoru the Festival Boy, who has a level 24/64 Nosepass and a level 24/65 Nuzleaf. You get 960/2600 Pokédollars for winning.

Southeast of Satoru the Festival Boy, you can find a TM104 Iron Defense.

Northwest of that, along the west edge of the area, you can find a TM024 Fire Spin.

North of that, in the walled area, you can find a TM087 Taunt.

East of that, southeast of where the signboard is marked on the map, you can battle Nanami the Festival Girl, who has a level 25/66 Vullaby. You get 1000/2640 Pokédollars for winning.

In the northwest part of the area, on top of a tall spire of rock, you can find TM089 Body Press.

East of that, along the north edge of the area, you can find a TM013 Acid Spray.

Southeast of that, in the walled area, you can battle Hokuto the Black Belt, who has a level 23/62 Timburr and a level 25/66 Gurdurr. You get 3696 Pokédollars for winning.

Near the Black Belt, there is a Terastal Nosepass.

Southeast of the Black Belt, you can find a TM150 Stone Edge.

South of that, there is a tall rock, and south of the rock, you can battle Kanemitsu of the Kitakami Ogre Clan, who has a level 75 Ninetales, a level 75 Shiftry, a level 76 Chandelure, and a level 77 Lilligant. (These pokémon will not be a lower level.) You get 7084 Pokédollars for winning.

To the south, just outside of the walled area, you can find a TM147 Wild Charge.

Northeast of that, inside of the walled area, there is a cave in the south wall where you will find an item and can encounter Houndour.

Southeast of that, outside of the walled area and up against the edge of the mountain, you can find a TM044 Dragon Tail.

North of that, on top of the east wall of the walled area, you can find a TM112 Aura Sphere.

Go to the destination marked on the map, but before you check on the signboard, there are a few things that you can do. (The destination is in the western part of Paradise Barrens, in the middle of the walled area there).

Before you check the signboard, you can climb the rock spire next to the signboard to find a TM186 High Horsepower.

Then go near the signboard, but don't check it yet. By visiting this location, you unlock a new area for the Ogre Oustin' minigame.

Next, go south into the cave to find an Unremarkable Teacup. You can use this on a Counterfeit Form Poltchageist to evolve it into a Sinistcha.

Now check on the signboard. There will be a cutscene and Kieran will ask you to battle him. He will heal up your pokémon first.

Battle Kieran

Kieran has a level 22/64 Yanma, a level 22/66 Poliwhirl/Poliwrath, a level 23/64 Furret, and a level 25/67 Dipplin. You get 3216 Pokédollars for winning.

Afterward, there will be a cutscene.

When you're ready to continue, fly to the Community Center and go inside, and check on the doors in the back to rest. The next day, go to Carmine's house and talk to her.

Your next destination is the Crystal Pool on top of Oni Mountain. If you didn't add Infernal Pass as a Fly destination earlier, one way to get there is to go west from Kitakami Hall, through Oni Mountain and Oni's Maw, until you reach the road sign. Follow the sign that points left to reach Infernal Pass.
