Rewards for Bonding with Characters

As you progress through the story and take classes, you can bond with characters in the game and receive helpful rewards.

Overview

If you take classes and exams at the Academy, and if you progress the story in other ways, you can bond with your teachers and other characters, and receive special rewards from them. See below for the steps to get these rewards.

Bonds in the Main Game

The following bonds and rewards don't require the DLC expansion pass.

Director Clavell

Defeat all six Team Star leaders at their bases, then talk to Clavell in his office to get a Big Nugget.

Ms. Dendra

After you complete the Battle Studies final exam at the academy, you will find Dendra in the School Store. Talk to her to get 10 Protein.

Mr. Hassel

After you complete the Art final exam at the academy, you will find Hassel in the Art Room. Talk to him and there will be a cutscene. Then he will give you 50 Dragon Tera Shards.

Mr. Jacq

After you take a Biology class, you can talk to Mr. Jacq in the Biology Lab. He will tell you to register a certain number of pokémon and he will give you the following rewards:

  • 30 Pokémon Registered as Seen: 3x TM057 False Swipe
  • 100 Pokémon Registered as Seen: 20x Ultra Balls
  • 200 Pokémon Registered as Seen: 20x Quick Balls
  • 400 Pokémon Registered as Seen: Shiny Charm

Ms. Raifort

After you complete the History final exam at the academy, you will find Raifort at the Entrance Hall of the Academy on the lowest level, west of the front desk. Talk to her and she will mark the locations of the four Shrines on the map where the Treasures of Ruin pokémon can be found if you remove all the stakes for that shrine. If you catch any of the Treasures of Ruin, put them in your party and talk to Raifort.

Mr. Saguaro

After you complete the Home Ec final exam at the academy, you will find Saguaro in the Home Ec Room. He asks for Sweet Herba Mystica. Check the List of Sandwich Ingredient Locations for a list of Tera Raids that award Sweet Herba Mystica. If you have the DLC, you can two of each type of Herba Mystica if you ask the chair maker to make all the chairs. See the List of Picnic Table Decorations for more information. In the DLC, you can also play the harder levels of Ogre Oustin' to win Herba Mystica.

Mr. Salvatore

After you complete the Languages final exam at the academy, you will find Salvatore in the Staff Room. Talk to him and you will receive a level 5 Galarian Meowth.

Ms. Tyme

After you complete the Math final exam at the academy, you will find Tyme at the Schoolyard. Talk to her and there will be a cutscene. Then she will give you 50 Rock Tera Shards.
