The animal festival is a chance for you to show off your best livestock and win rare prizes.
Animal Festival Overview
You can enter any of your livestock animals in the animal festival for a chance to win prizes. Your animals are judged on their friendship level with you. At higher contest ranks, your animals will be judged on additional paramters.
Villager Friendship
By participating in the animal festival, your friendship with everyone in the village will increase, even if you do not win. Be sure to always participate in the animal festival, even if you might not win. Friendship increases by 1500 if you win, and 500 if you do not win.
Animal Festival Schedule
The animal festival occurs on the 13th of every season, starting with Summer 13 of Year 1.
How to Enter
To enter the festival, go to the crossroads and talk to the MC between 10:00 and 13:00 to enter.
Contest Ranks
There are four contest ranks that you can enter. More ranks open up if you win. The ranks are rookie, veteran, expert, and legend.
Judgement Criteria
Your friendship with the animal is the most important trait for the animal festival, because your points will always be based partly on the friendship level. In higher contest ranks, your animal might also be judged on coat, by-product level, and by-product yield (you can check the calendar to see which of these criteria will be used at the upcoming festival). Point Bonuses
Your animal will get additional bonus points for its current physique. Adult animals get 5 bonus points, Mature animals get 15 bonus points, and Huge animals get 30 bonus points. Feed your animal plump treats, or normal types of feed (not spicy or sweet) to increase your animal's physique over time.
Rank Details
- Rookie: Your animal is judged only on friendship level. Your competitors will get between 50 and 150 points
- Veteran: Your animal is judged on friendship level, and one of the following chosen at random: coat, by-product level, by-product yield. Your competitors will get between 151 and 400 points
- Expert: Your animal is judged on friendship level, and two of the following chosen at random: coat, by-product level, by-product yield. Your competitors will get between 401 and 850 points
- Legend: Your animal is judged on friendship level, coat, by-product level, and by-product yield. Your competitors will get between 851 and 990 points.
