Lida has gone to investigate a Rogue Mega Barbaracle and could use your help.
Go to the Barbaracle
The easiest way to reach the Rogue Mega Barbaracle is to go to Nouveau Café (Truck No. 2) in the southwest part of the city. It's between Wild Zone 12 and Bleu Pokémon Center. Look northeast from the truck to see some water. Go around the northeast side of the water to find stairs leading down. Use the northwest stairs, then go through the northwest tunnel. Have a Pokémon hit the chunk of ice with an attack, and the ice will turn into a bridge. Cross it and go straight ahead to reach the Barbaracle.
Battle the Rogue Mega Barbaracle
The Mega Barbaracle will try to hit you with Rock Slide, but you can avoid it if you keep moving. Sometimes it will send out regular Barbaracles to join in the attack. Sometimes it will go to the middle of the area and start charging up an attack. Be sure to Mega Evolve your Pokémon and hit the Mega Barbaracle with Plus Moves to interrupt its attack when it does this. Even after you interrupt the attack, the Barbaracle will pull you close to it and do a rapid punching attack, so run away immediately. After the attack, run in to get the Mega Power. If it does finish charging the attack, keep running because it will instantly appear where you are and do a rapid punching attack, followed by a beam attack aimed at you.
After the Mega Barbaracle is at about 50% health, its attacks get stronger. It will move more quickly, and it will sometimes attack by dashing across the area. It will send out more of the regular Barbaracles to attack you. These drop Mega Power, so don't hesitate to get rid of them.
Afterward, you get Barbaracite.
