Forest Temple

After ridding the woods of the Shadow Insects, you venture into the Forest Temple.

The Forest Temple

Go into the temple, past some keese, and there will be a cutscene.

Look for some ivy on the wall near the tunnel from the entrance, and use the slingshot to kill the skulwalltulas on the ivy, then climb up the ivy. Open the chest at the top to get a yellow rupee. Then go back down below.

You can dash into the totem poles to get some rupees.

Go to the monkey cage and hit it with your sword to open it. Use the slingshot to kill the skullwalltulas, then climb up the ivy. Follow the monkey, then check on the stone door to open it.

In the next room, go straight ahead and kill the skulltula that comes down. Afterward, you can go down to the lower level and hit a bomskit, then throw it at the nearby cracked wall to reveal a chest that contains a red rupee.

Go back up to the platform where you fought the skulltula, and use your lantern to light the four torches. Stairs will appear. Go up those stairs and look for a chest at the top. Open it to get the map.

Go through the nearby door. After a cutscene, go back through the door near the monkey.

Go to the center platform. If you look to the left and right from the center platform, you will see a door on each side. Go toward the door that does NOT have a spiderweb. The monkey will jump onto the rope, so run off the edge to jump to her, then let go when she swings you. Go through the door at the end.

Look for a bomskit insect in this room. Hit the bomskit, then go back to stay out of its blast range. After the explosion, break the pots and you will find Ooccoo. You can use Ooccoo to warp into or out of dungeons.

Go down the other path in this room. Use your lantern to burn the spiderweb. In the next room, jump across the wooden bridge. Go through the first stone door that you find. The bridge ahead will rotate. Go across it, then go through the stone door at the end. Open the chest here to get a small key.

Go back the way you came until you find the monkey again. Look for a Skulltula hanging down, and use the slingshot to knock it down. Then jump across the gap. Go up the stairs to the locked door, and unlock it.

In the next room, you will find another monkey in a cage. Make your way to the lower level. On the way, the wooden bridge will collapse. At the bottom, dash repeatedly into the totem pole to make the cage fall. Then kill the Bokoblins that attack.

There is a chest next to a wooden wall nearby that contains a yellow rupee.

Go back to the monkeys and make your way up the stairs. The monkeys will climb on the rope to help you jump across. Just run off the edge to jump to the first monkey, and let go when the monkey swings you. Swing from the next monkey to reach the other side. Then go through the door at the end.

Jump into the water, then swim along the edge of the room near the suspended bridge to find a hidden room with a chest. Open it to get a yellow rupee.

Get back into the water and swim straight ahead to find some ivy. Climb up it to reach the upper level. Walk across the suspended bridge. Go along the wooden platforms on the wall to go back to the dark room where you found Ooccoo. Go through the stone door there.

With the monkey's help, jump across the rope. Then go straight ahead, and jump across that rope. Use the lantern to burn the spiderweb, then go through the stone door.

Go up the stairs and hit the bomskit, then carry it over to the gap where there is a Deku Like flower. Throw the bomskit into the flower to kill it. Then hit another bomskit and carry it over the gap where the flower was, then throw onto the wooden platform on the other side. Go into the path that opened, and go through the stone door.

In the next room, you will see a third monkey. Go down to the lower level. Dash into the nearest totem pole to knock down a chest. Open it to get a small key.

Carefully go across the bridge, but watch out for the tile worms that stick up. If you step on a tile that has a tile worm under it, you will get hurt.

On the other side, use your lantern to light the two unlit torches. Go up the stairs, then slowly walk toward the monkey. Kill the Skulltula that comes down. Open the jail cell (the key is on one of the totem poles if you didn't get it before).

Go back down to where you lit the torches, and look for some nearby ivy that you can climb up. On the ledge at the top, there is a chest that contains a red rupee.

Leave the room the way that you came in. Back in the room where you bombed the rock, look to the sides for a wall of ivy. Use the slingshot to kill the skulwalltulas on the ivy. Then jump across to grab the ivy. Climb up and go through the door.

After a cutscene, you have to fight a large Deku Baba that swallowed the key. Use your shield to block the Baba's attacks, then hit it with your sword. Or, you can jump to the side before the Baba can hit you. After you hit the head, hit the flower to kill the vine attached to the head. Then hit the head to kill it. After the head is gone, find a bomskit near the edge of the room and hit it, then pick it up and throw it into the Deku Like flower. Then get the key that was inside of the flower.

Go up and unlock the monkey's jail cell, then leave the room the way you came in.

Look for the bomskit on this ledge. Hit it, then carry it to the nearby wooden ledge. Stand on the edge, then set down the bomb and it should fall into the Deku Like flower below. Fall down to where the flower was, then go into the room and open the chest to get a piece of heart.

Exit the area with the chest and go up the small wooden ramp, and go through the stone door. Go across the rope with the monkey's help. When you reach the center, the monkeys will tell you to go up the stairs, so go up and through the stone door at the end.

In the wind room, go across the rope with help from all four monkeys. Go up the stairs and go through the stone door at the end.

Ook

To defeat Ook, wait for him to throw the boomerang, then dash into the totem pole that he is standing on. The boomerang will hit Ook and he will fall to the ground. Attack with your sword until Ook gets back up. Use the same strategy until Ook runs away.

Get the Gale Boomerang that Ook dropped.

Go to the exit, then use the boomerang on the thing above the door. This will raise the bars. The bars don't go up all the way, so keep using the boomerang. Note that you can lock onto the spinning thing multiple times. When the bars go up all the way, go through the door.

Go to the side toward a spinning bridge. You can use the boomerang on the spinning thing on top of the bridge to make the bridge rotate in your direction. Go across the bridge, then kill the Bokoblin, then use the boomerang to cut the spiderweb that the cage is hanging from.

Afterward, go up the slope and walk onto the first wooden bridge, then use the boomerang on the spinning thing above the next bridge to make it rotate your way. Then go across and go through the door at the end.

In the next room, the path will split. Don't go straight. Go to the side along the wooden ledge, then follow the path (where you bombed the wall earlier) and go through the stone door at the end. Carefully go across the tile worm bridge. You can use the boomerang on the tiles to make the worms come out, then you can kill them with the sword. Use the boomerang on the torches to make the flames go out. This will lower the wooden stairs, giving you access to the secret room in the back. Open the chest in that room to get a Piece of Heart.

Exit the tile worm room the way you came in. Then go down to the lower level and go through the stone door there. You will be back in the center room. Go to the center platform, then use the boomerang to target all the pots and things hanging from spiderwebs. A chest falls from one of the spiderwebs. Open it to get the compass.

Go across the gap where the girl monkey is hanging, and go through the door on the other side. Go through the dark cave, then in the next area, jump across the wooden platforms around the room until you reach the suspended bridge. Cross it, and you reach an area with spinning things. Be sure to look at the ground, because it shows the order in which you need to hit the spinning things with the boomerang. Target all four spinning things in that order, then release the boomerang. This will open the gate. Open the chest to get the Big Key.

Go back across the suspended bridge, then jump over the water, and go through the door on the other side. Cross the spinning bridge and go through the door at the end. Go down and use the boomerang to make the bridge spin, then go across it and through the door at the end.

After a brief cutscene, walk onto the nearby spinning bridge, then use the boomerang to spin it while you are standing on it. Walk onto the next spinning bridge, and use your boomerang on it to spin it as well. Kill the Bokoblin on the other side, then look up and kill the skulwalltulas on the ivy, using either the boomerang or the slingshot. Climb up the ivy and go to the side so you can fall onto the raised ledge. Kill the skulwalltula on the next section of ivy if you didn't already, and climb up. Walk onto the wooden ledge and kill the Bokoblin there, then go through the door that it was guarding.

Kill the two Baba Serpents, then use your boomerang on the bomskit to ignite it and bring it to you. Throw it into the nearby Deku Like flower, then jump across where it was and open the chest to get a small key. Go back to where you killed the Baba Serpents, and go up the stairs to where there is some ivy. Kill the Baba Serpent here, then use your boomerang from to lock onto a bomskit and also lock onto the big boulder at the top of the ivy. If you do it correctly, the bomb will explode on the boulder and break it.

Climb up the ivy and kill the Bokoblin at the top. Use your boomerang to kill the Baba Serpents hanging from the ceiling. Then use the boomerang to get a bomskit, and then throw it at the boulder that the Bokoblin was guarding. (If you try locking onto the bomskit and then the boulder, the bomb will hit a wall before it reaches the boulder.) A monkey will come out. One of the jars in the monkey's room has a yellow rupee. Go back to the previous room.

Climb down the ivy and use your boomerang to spin the nearest bridge. Walk onto the bridge, then spin it while you are standing on it. Do the same with the next bridge. Then go through the stone door to exit the room.

Spin the bridge, then stand on it and spin it again. Go to the side with the locked door, and unlock it.

In the next room, use the boomerang to make the tile worms come up. Then look for a tunnel in the wall. Walk down it and you will find a Skulltula. Kill it, and kill the Skulwalltulas on the ivy, then climb up the ivy. At the top, use the boomerang on the two spinning things to open the monkey's jail cell. Then go around the ledge to the other side of the room, but be careful of the Baba Serpent hanging from the ceiling. Go through the archway, then look for a chest to the side. Jump over the gap to reach it. It contains a red rupee.

Jump down to the exit and go through.

Go across the bridge and go through the stone door at the end.

There are Skultulas hanging from the ceiling in this room. Kill them and then stand on the webs in the floor and use the lantern to burn the webs. If you burn the correct one, you will land near a monkey cage. Use your sword to break open the cage. Then jump onto the ivy and climb up, then exit the room the way you came in.

Walk onto the bridge and spin it while you are standing on it. Go through the north door. After the cutscene, go straight ahead, and jump when the monkeys are coming toward you. Then let go when they swing to the other side. Go straight ahead and unlock the big door.

Diababa

Use the boomerang to lock onto a bomskit, then lock onto one of Diababa's mouths. Then do the same to the other mouth.

Afterward, there will be a cutscene, and another mouth will come up. Use your shield to block the attacks from the mouths.

Eventually, Ook will appear. Lock onto Ook with the boomerang, then lock onto Diababa's central mouth. The mouth will fall and you can hit the eye. It will go back up after you hit it. Run to one side of the room, then when Diababa starts spitting poison water, run the other way to avoid it. If you reach the other side of the room before Diababa stops spraying, roll under the spray to go the other way. Afterward, use your shield to block the attacks, and when Ook goes past, repeat the previous steps. When the eye comes down, keep hitting it, and if available, you can use the Finishing Blow technique to kill it.

After the cutscene, get the Heart Container, then walk up to Midna. If you are ready to leave, say Yes.

After the cutscene at the spring, the horseshoe-shaped grass won't work if you try to call Epona, so for now, just go north. If you didn't buy the bottle of oil from Coro before, you can do so now if you have enough Rupees. Then keep going north from Coro's shop until you reach Hyrule Field.

Hyrule Field

In the center of the field, there is a bridge with a Bokoblin guarding it. Near that bridge, there is a tree that has a piece of heart on the end of one of its branches. Use your boomerang to get it.

You can also catch insects on the trees near the bridge.

In Hyrule Field, go in the direction that Faron said to go to reach Eldin. The postman will run up to you and give you a letter.

Keep going until you reach a wall of twilight. Go up to it and say Yes when Midna asks if you want to go into the twilight.

Once inside, go down the path, then sniff the object that you see on the path. You can now use your senses to follow the path that the kids took.

Go to where it looks like there should be a bridge. Kill the Shadow Beasts there, using the energy field technique. You will discover that the bridge is gone. Midna will say to look at your map. She will explain that you can warp to any portal where you defeated Shadow Beasts. When Midna asks you to choose a portal, you should choose the upper one.

North Faron Woods

If you warped to the upper portal in North Faron Woods, the bridge is leaning against the wall near where you appeared. Walk up to it, then call Midna. She will ask if you want her to warp the bridge, so say yes. When the map appears, choose the northernmost portal to send it to Kakariko Gorge.

Go north across the new bridge until you reach a metal gate. Dig under the gate to reach the other side, kill the Shadow Bulblins, then follow the path to reach Kakariko Village.
