After you leave the Swamp, you reach the crime-ridden city of Ellay, where gangsters walk the streets.

Ellay/Valentine

This city is home to a gang called the B.B. Gang. They wear blue clothes, and if you talk to them, they fight you. They sometimes drop a Flame Thrower, which is a reusable item for Lloyd that does 100 HP damage.

You can optionally go to the View Tower. It's northwest from downtown Ellay. Bring three Berry Tofus if you want to get some items at View Tower (but the items that you can get there are not particularly useful). Inside View Tower, use the elevator to go to the roof. On the roof, Check the telescope to make a rocket appear. Check the rocket to go to a laboratory. Talk to the people inside and give them Berry Tofu to get some items. Then ride the rocket back to View Tower, take the elevator down from the roof, and go back to Ellay.

Buy a ticket from the Variety Goods shop in the Department Store so you can watch the Live Show. Also, make sure you have at least $200 with you. Then go to the Live House in southern Ellay and pay the old man to make him move. Go inside and Use the Show Ticket on the woman blocking the way.

If you talk to the people here, don't say Yes to the person who asks if you want a drink. If you say Yes, you will all be arrested and Ninten will lose his weapon. You can buy the weapon back from the cop if that happens, and you will have to buy another ticket to the show to get back in.

If you are ready to continue, talk to the man near the stage and say Yes when he asks you to perform.

After your performance, a tough guy gets up on stage. Answer his question however you want. Then you have to battle B.B.'s Boss.

B.B.'s Boss

Don't worry about this battle. It will automatically end after three turns. In fact, the game doesn't let you choose any option except Fight, and it doesn't let Ana or Lloyd do anything.

After the battle ends, Teddy asks you to help him avenge his parents. Say Yes (or you can say No if you feel like it, but eventually you have to say Yes). Lloyd leaves your group and Teddy replaces him. Teddy is very strong, so don't feel too bad about Lloyd's departure.
