After you meet Kyogre in Withered Wasteland, you can proceed thorugh the northwest area gate to Rocky Ridges.
How to Reach Rocky Ridges
After you meet Kyogre in Withered Wasteland, go through the northwest area gate to reach Rocky Ridges.
Check the PC
After you enter the Rocky Ridges area, follow Professor Tangrowth to find the Pokémon Center PC. Check on it, and after the Professor goes to the ruined Pokémon Center, talk to them.
Make a Home
If you wish, you can make a home in Rocky Ridges so you can use the "Return Home" feature of the pause menu. There is a house in the southeastern part of the area, and if you add one block to the right of the door, it will become an empty house. You can create a Ditto Flag with the workbench across from the Pokémon Center, then put it inside the house to make it your home in Rocky Ridges.
Water the Grass
Water the four things of dry grass nearby to create Red Tall Grass habitat. The grass will start shaking, so check on it to meet Scorbunny. Afterward, talk to Scorbunny to learn how to make Machoke appear.
Make a Grassy Training Field Habitat
Look for a workbench nearby. There are sandbags near it. Pick them up, then create more tall red grass and put the sandbags nearby to make a Grassy Training Field habitat. Wait for the grass to shake, then check on it to meet Machoke.
Follow Machoke
Machoke will go east, up the stairs. Follow them, then talk to them. Then pick up five stones in the area. Afterward, talk to Machoke again. You will learn Strength.
Push the Boulder
Face the boulder and hold the A button while moving, and you will push and pull the boulder. Push it next to Machoke, then talk to them.
Move the PC
Use Strength to push the PC onto the electric spot near Professor Tangrowth. You can push left and right to rotate the PC, and push forward and back to push or pull it.
Use the PC
Check on the PC to proceed. Then talk to Professor Tangrowth, then follow the Professor and until you reach the barrel that is hanging from a chain. Jump up and try to use Cut on the chain.
Make a Pointy Tree-Shaded Rocky Tall Grass Habitat
After you learn the Pointy Tree-Shaded Rocky Tall Grass Habitat, explore the area to find a pointy tree. You can move boulders with Strength, so move a boulder near a pointy tree, and use Leafage to create red tall grass around it. While you wait for Dartrix to appear in the habitat, you might want to go up to the nearby waterfall and use Rock Smash to break the rock that is blocking the water in the pool. When the grass shakes, check on it to meet Dartrix. Talk to Dartrix to continue.
Find a Perch
There is a glowing yellow Pokéball near the workbench. Pick it up to get the recipe for a Perch. You will need a leaf and two small logs. You can headbutt trees or cut vines to get a leaf, and you can use Cut on piles of logs to get small logs. Use the workbench to make a Perch, then put it near Dartrix's habitat. Afterward, talk to Dartrix.
Make a Cutting Board
You now know the recipe for a Cutting Board. You will need lumber. If you don't have any, get Small Logs and to Dartrix and say "Look at this!" then ask to make lumber. When you have lumber, make the Cutting Board.
Make a Salad
Scorbunny will now be following you. Put the cutting board somewhere, then check on it. Add a leaf, then any other ingredient (the other ingredient can also be a leaf if you like). For a list of ingredients you can add to make different types of salads, check the List of Recipes.
Eat the Salad
After you make the salad, choose the salad in your inventory, then press A to eat it. This will power up your Leafage move. Afterward, follow Scorbunny.
Meet Torkoal
Go to the cave in the southwest part of the area and use Rock Smash to break the blocks in the way. Now that you have eaten a salad and powered up Leafage, you can use Leafage on the stones in the cave to grow moss. You can use Rototiller to pick up and move the moss. Then go to the hot spring in the cave and use Leafage to put four moss next to it (or pick up and move moss with Rototiller) to make a Mossy Hot Spring habitat. Wait a short time for the moss to start shaking, then check on it to meet Torkoal.
Make a Path for Torkoal
Talk to Torkoal, then make a path from the cave to the Pokémon Center. You can use stairs or railroad tracks (the track will automatically slope if you put a track one block above or below another) to make the path less bumpy. Make sure to fill in any holes with blocks, use Rock Smash to get rid of the dark grey blocks in the way, and try to water all the dry blocks along the path. When you're ready, talk to Torkoal, then follow them to the Pokémon Center, and if they have trouble getting there, fill in any gaps in the path and talk to them again until they get there.
When Torkoal reaches the Pokémon Center, talk to them to learn the Bread Oven recipe.
Make a Bread Oven
Use the workbench to make a bread oven. You need stones, which you can pick up from the ground, and logs, which you can get by using Cut on piles of wood, and volcanic ash, which you can get by using Rock Smash on the dark grey blocks that are all around the area.
After you make the oven, put it somewhere, then have Torkoal or Scorbunny follow you and face the bread oven to have them light the fire.
Make Bread
If you don't have any Wheat, go to the watery area southwest of the Pokémon Center. If you haven't already, go up to the waterfall and break the rock that is preventing the water from flowing into the dry waterway. Keep doing this until the water is surrounding the garden plots. Some of the garden plots will grow into wheat.
Use the Bread Oven and put in some Wheat, as well as two other ingredients (you can just put in three wheat if you like). For a list of ingredients you can add to make different types of breads, check the List of Recipes.
Eat the Bread
After you make the bread, choose it from your inventory and eat it. This will power up Cut.
Cut the Chain or Barrel
Go back to the talking barrel. Then use Cut on the chain. Afterward, when you're at the Pokémon Center, talk to Chef Dente to proceed.
Follow Chef Dente
Chef Dente will go to the kitchen area. Follow them and talk to them, and you will learn that you need a Frying Pan to make Hamburger Steak. Talk to Professor Tangrowth and you will learn the Frying Pan recipe.
Talk to Machoke
Talk to Machoke, who is standing near the entrance to the hot spring cave where you met Torkoal. Then follow Machoke to the fence. Use Cut on it (eat bread if you need to power it up again), then go down the tunnel. Cut the next fence, and you will reach an area with a Smelting Furnace. Check on the Pokémon trace in front of the Smelting Furnace to learn how to make a Digging and Burning habitat.
Make a Digging and Burning Habitat
Clear away the logs and lumber near the smelting furnace (use Cut on the pile of logs), then move the nearby wheelbarrow and tools next to the Smelting Furnace. Wait for the wheelbarrow to start shaking (or point a Security Camera at it and come back if it detects a Pokémon) and check on the wheelbarrow to meet Magmar.
Make Copper Ingots
Use Rock Smash on walls that have copper deposits to get some copper ore. Then put the copper ore into the Smelting Furnace, and if necessary, have Magmar follow you, then face the furnace, to have Magmar breathe fire into the smelting furnace. Come back after a while and check the Smelting Furnace to get some copper ingots.
Make the Frying Pan and Make Hamburger Steak
After you have two Copper Ingots, use a Workbench to make a Frying Pan, then go to one of the stovetops in the kitchen area near the Pokémon Center. Put the Frying Pan on the stovetop, then check on it and put in Beans, as well as three other ingredients (you can have all the ingredients be beans if you like). For a list of ingredients you can add to make different types of hamburger steaks, check the List of Recipes.
Eat the Hamburger Steak to power up Rock Smash.
Raise the Environment Level to 3
Use the PC to check on the environment level, then talk to Pokémon and ask about their comfort levels, and make changes to their habitats or give them their favorite foods (see List of Flavors for help) to help increase the environment level.
Talk to Scorbunny and Open a Cave
Go east from the Pokémon Center to find Scorbunny looking at the mountain. Talk to them, then use Rock Smash to get rid of the volcanic ash that Scorbunny was looking at. Go farther into the cave and break the blocks in the way. If your Rock Smash is no longer powered up, use the frying pan to make more hamburger steak (see above for instructions).
After you break through the rocks, look to the left to see something making musical notes. Check on it to meet DJ Rotom.
Follow DJ Rotom and talk to them when they stop. Then talk to Chef Dente.
Clear the Party Area
Use Rock Smash to clear away the volcanic ash in the party area, then place the Party Cooking Pot that Chef Dente gave you. Afterward, talk to Chef Dente. Then talk to DJ Rotom.
Find CDs
Look for glowing blocks and use Rock Smash to break them. They have a chance of containing CDs. If you need help finding glowing blocks, get out your Dowsing Machine (found in Withered Wastelands) and have a Pokémon follow you who knows Search. You can use the Pokédex filter feature to find Pokémon with this ability.
For example, in Rocky Ridges, you can get four Mountain Flowers (you can use Rototiller to pick up existing Mountain Flowers and put them in your inventory), then put them together in a warm place, such as near the hot spring where you met Torkoal, for a chance to make Fidough appear. Or you can go back to Withered Wasteland and have a Pokémon that knows Search follow you, and walk through the northwest area gate to bring that Pokémon with you to Rocky Ridges.
Then talk to DJ Rotom about CDs, and add some CDs to Rotom's selection.
Build an Uplifting Duckweed Habitat
Talk to DJ Rotom again to learn the Uplifting Duckweed Habitat. Go to a watery area and stand in the water, then use Leafage while standing in water to create duckweed. (This might only work if your Leafage is powered up, so eat salad to power it up if it doesn't work.) Then wait for Ludicolo to appear, then have them follow you to DJ Rotom.
Talk to Professor Tangrowth
Talk to Professor Tangrowth to continue. You need to display a large lost relic. Look for glowing blocks and use Rock Smash to break them. They have a chance of containing large lost relics. If you need help finding glowing blocks, get out your Dowsing Machine (found in Withered Wastelands) and have a Pokémon follow you who knows Search. You can use the Pokédex filter feature to find Pokémon with this ability.
After you find large lost relics, show them to Professor Tangrowth to get them appraised. If you have items that you don't remember if they are large or small relics, you can go to the Collection menu in the Pokédex and open Ancient Artifacts to see the list. Or you can go to the List of Lost Relics.
Place a large appraised relic near Professor Tangrowth to complete their request.
Talk to Chef Dente
Next, you can talk to Chef Dente. You will learn the Party Platter recipe. You will need iron ingots, so go into the caves and use Rock Smash on the rocks with grey ore to get iron ore (remember to eat Hamburger Steak if you need to power up Rock Smash), then put the iron ore in a smelting furnace and have a Pokémon with the Burn ability go to the furnace to turn the ore into ingots.
Then make five party platters, put them on the tables in the party area, then put food on each one. Then talk to Chef Dente to complete their request.
Continue Improving the Mood
You can increase the mood by bringing Pokémon with the Hype ability to DJ Rotom, by placing large appraised relics in the party area, and by placing party platters with food in the area. Talk to DJ Rotom after you do these things, until the mood reaches 100.
After the mood reaches 100, talk to Chef Dente once more.
Cook the Curry
Check on the Party Cooking Pot and fill it with the required ingredients, then bring Pokémon to it so you can start cooking. When the food is ready, talk to Chef Dente.
Talk to Professor Tangrowth Again
Talk to Professor Tangrowth after the curry is finished. Then go up the mountain and talk to Volcanion. Afterward, go to the Pokémon Center to talk to Professor Tangrowth and complete the important request.
