Fire Shrine

After passing through the Water Shrine and clearing the lairs there, you reach the Fire Shrine.

Fire Shrine 1F

There are some Metal Scorpions that go along the walls and edges of this room. You can't hurt them with your sword, but you can paralyze them.

Go up the second bridge from the left. You will find a lair of Lizard Men. Kill them and clear their lair to reveal a treasure chest. It contains a Medical Herb.

Now go up the second bridge from the right. There is another Lizard Man lair here. Clear their lair to reveal stairs in the middle that go down to the next level.

To the east, there is a Ghost lair. If you approach a Ghost, it will start floating toward you. Kill the Ghosts from the lair and clear it to release a dog.

Go down the stairs in the middle of the room.

Fire Shrine B1F

The nearby chest doesn't have anything inside.

Be careful of Metal Scorpions going along the edges in this room.

To the east, there is a Lizard Man lair. Kill the Lizard Men and clear the lair to reveal some stairs going down. The stairs replace the empty treasure chest.

To the east and south of the Lizard Man lair, there are four Ghosts floating around their lair. Kill them and clear the lair to release a dog.

South and west of the ghost lair, there is a lair of Shadow Lizard Men. They turn invisible, then the shadow moves a short distance, then the Lizard Man reappears. The shadow will hurt you if it floats over you. Kill these Shadow Lizard Men and clear the lair to release a crocodile.

Go west and north until you reach a Lizard Man lair. Clear their lair to release a squirrel.

There is a Ghost lair in the east side of the room, but you can't reach the lair itself yet.

For now, go down the stairs in the middle of the room.

Fire Shrine B2F

Go west and you will find a Fire Walker. It walks toward you, but it sometimes stops and throws a fireball at you. Clear their lair to release a mole.

Ice Armor

To the south, there is a walkway that becomes hot. You can become protected from these hot paths if you return to GreenWood and go into the middle of the three mole holes. In that hole, go west to reach an island with a sleeping tree stump. Use the Dream Rod on the stump and go east in the dream to find a lair. Clear it, then talk to the bird to leave the dream. In GreenWood, go to the big tree that goes to the GreenWood Shrine, then go east of that tree to find a new path. Go up and then west behind the tree to find a chest that contains the Ice Armor.

Walk on the Hot Path

Back in the Fire Shrine, are walkways that become hot. If you don't have the Ice Armor (described above), don't step on the walkway if it is glowing orange. Go south when it starts to cool down. There is a Ghost Lair to the south. Clear it to release a squirrel.

Go east, then carefully go along the hot path when it cools down. Step on the tile to the side before the path becomes hot again. When you go all the way west on the hot path, you find a lair of Lizard Men. Clear the lair to reveal a blue crystal. Go talk to the Crystal Fairy. She will give you Light Arrow Magic and then offers to send you back to GreenWood. The Light Arrow Magic costs 8 GEMs and shoots light in all four directions from the spinning soul.

Go east from the blue crystal. You will find a few hot paths. Go up the leftmost of the three paths when it is not hot. Kill the Shadow Lizard Men and clear their lair to extend the middle hot path.

Now go up the middle hot path and you will find two Metal Scorpions spinning around. There is also a Shadow Lizard Man lair here. Clear their lair to extend the rightmost hot path.

Go up the rightmost hot path. Be sure to step on the safe tile to the right and wait for the path to cool down before you go the rest of the way north.

Go west past the three Metal Scorpions to find a chest that contains 100 GEMs.

Go all the way east, then north. There is an area connected by four hot paths. Go east or north until you can see the Lizard Man lair to the northwest. The Lizard Men will walk across the hot paths toward you. Kill them, then clear their lair to release a bird.

Go south and then west from the lair that you cleared. Carefully go north past the Metal Scorpions. To the west, there is a Fire Walker lair. Clear it to release a mole.

Go west to find a narrow bridge with a Lizard Man lair on it. Clear their lair to release a deer.

Go south on the narrow bridge, then go east to find a chest that contains 60 GEMs. Go west from there, then go up the stairs.

Fire Shrine 1F, part 2

Go up another set of stairs to reach the northern part of the first room of the Fire Shrine. There is a Fire Walker lair in the middle, with a Metal Scorpion walking around nearby. Clear the Fire Walker lair to create a shortcut back to the entrance.

Go east from here to go down some stairs. You will find a Ghost lair that you couldn't reach before. Clear it to release a squirrel.

You can use the north exit of the Fire Shrine, but you won't get very far. There is a raft that refuses to let you use it unless you can prove that you are from GreenWood. Go back to GreenWood.

Get the Leaves

In GreenWood, go south across the crocodiles to reach the graveyard. Use the Dream Rod on the bird in the west part of the graveyard. In the bird's dream, step on the unlocked lair, then talk to Turbo. After Turbo disappears, talk to the bird again.

When you return from the dream, talk to the bird whose dream you just visited. The bird will say to find the leaves of GreenWood that were buried with Turbo. Go north across the crocodiles, then go into the mole hole near the crocodile. Go south and you will find that you can reach Turbo's bones. Step on the bones to find the Leaves of GreenWood.

Now go back to the raft north of the Fire Shrine.

Ride the Rafts

Try walking onto the raft and it will see the Leaves of GreenWood and allow you to hop on. The first raft takes you to an island with a Lotus Plant. Kill the plant and then get on the raft to the left. You'll reach another Lotus Plant. Go south on the bridge. You will find a Mudpit lair. Be careful of the Shaber dragon that jumps out nearby. Kill the Mudpits and clear the lair to release a mole.

Go east from there and ride the raft. Go south from there to find another Mudpit lair with another Shaber dragon nearby. Kill these Mudpits and clear the lair to release a dog. Be sure to step away from the lair to avoid the Shaber dragon. Use the raft to the north to find another Lotus Plant. Use the raft to the west and you will reach the Light Shrine.
