The Slumbering Lord of the Tundra

Your next mission is to quell the final lord, Avalugg, in the Alabaster Icelands.

Reach Fifth Star Rank

Before you can go to Alabaster Icelands, you need to reach Fifth Star Rank. Once you do, talk to Cyllene and show your Pokédex to rank up.

This gives you the ability to use Wing Balls, and pokémon up to level 65 will obey you. You will learn the Wing Ball recipe.

Go to the Front Gate

After you rank up, go to the Front Gate and you will meet Professor Laventon and Rei or Akari.

You will battle against Rei or Akari's level 46 Mr. Mime, level 47 Pikachu, and level 46 Staravia.

Go to the Alabaster Icelands

Afterward, talk to Ress at the Front Gate to go to the Alabaster Icelands.

Meet Up with Irida and Adaman

You might want to go to the request marker so you can complete the Setting Up the Icepeak Camp request and set up a base camp near Avalugg's Legacy.

When you are ready, go to the guidance marker and approach Adaman and Irida.

You will battle Gaeric's level 48 Glalie and level 24 Froslass. You will need to fight both at the same time.

Meet Sabi

After the battle, there will be a cutscene where you meet Sabi. You need to go talk to her, but Sneasler can't climb the ice, so go around the ice until you find a ramp going up to the top. Talk to Sabi to proceed.

Catch Up to Sabi

Go to Snowfields Camp and rest if needed, then summon Sneasler to climb the mountain and reach the guidance marker. Talk to Sabi to proceed.

Next, you need to go to Snowpoint Temple. Start at Icepeak Camp and go northwest up the slope, then go along the north side of the lake, and continue on to reach the guidance marker. Approach Sabi to proceed.

Go Through the Temple

Enter the temple and go to the left. There are some stairs leading up. As you go up, look to the left to see a statue. It has the Rock symbol on its chest. It is pointing to a statue that has the Steel symbol on its chest, which is pointing to a statue that has the Ice symbol on its chest. At the end of the hallway, you reach a door. Check on it, then press the Rock panel, then the Steel panel, then the Ice panel.

In the next room, there is a statue with the Ice symbol, which is pointing to a statue with the Rock symbol, which is pointing to a statue with the Steel symbol. This statue is pointing to another one, but you can't see its symbol, so go around the wall to find that it has the Rock symbol. It is pointing to a statue that has the Ice symbol. At the door, push the panels in the order that the statues were pointing: Ice, Rock, Steel, Rock, Ice.

In the next area, turn right to see a couple of statues. Turn right again to find the first statue, which has the Steel symbol. It points to Ice, which points to Rock, which points to Ice, which points to Steel, which points to Rock. At the door at the end, press the symbols in this order: Steel, Ice, Rock, Ice, Steel, Rock.

Beyond the door, you will find some pokémon, including an Alpha Gallade. After you get past these pokémon, go through the temple to reach Sabi. Approach her and you will battle her level 50 Rhyperior, level 30 Magmortar, and level 30 Electvire, all at the same time.

Go Upstairs

After the battle, go up the stairs and outside. Talk to Sabi to proceed. You will battle the level 54 Braviary.

Afterward, you receive the Sky Plate. You will be able to glide with Braviary by pressing + anywhere, or press A if you are falling. When you press +, Braviary will fly upward a short distance, but keep in mind that while flying, Braviary slowly goes downward, and you can't go upward. Hold Y to dive downward quickly.

Get the Eternal Ice

Fly to the top of the ice that is marked with the guidance marker (Sneasler can't climb it, so you need to use Braviary to get there). Investigate the chunk of ice on top to get a piece of Eternal Ice.

Meet With Gaeric

Afterward, fly to the guidance marker and approach Gaeric.

Go to the Arena

After the cutscene, go to the arena and approach Gaeric. If you are ready, you can battle Avalugg.

Avalugg

Dodge across the diagonal lines of ice (you are invulnerable until you land). Throw balms as soon as you are past each diagonal line of ice.

Next, Avalugg will create circles on the ground. Chunks of ice will pop up from these circles. Dodge to the side to avoid the circles, then throw balms when you are past, but watch out for more circles.

Then Avalugg will charge energy above its head, then launch icicles at you. Keep moving side to side to avoid these, and change direction as soon as an icicle lands. Don't try to throw balms until after these icicles stop.

Avalugg will shoot a beam of ice, then move it side to side. Dodge past it, then throw balms when you have a chance.

When Avalugg finishes shooting the ice beam, it will become stunned. Throw a partner pokémon at it to do battle. Afterward, throw as many balms as you can.

Later, Avalugg will make circles like before, but this time there is no safe area to dodge to the side, so instead, move away from Avalugg to stay out of range of the circles it creates. Beware of ice spikes that may be left behind where the ice chunks were.

After the Battle

Afterward, you get the Icicle Plate.

Report to Commander Kamado

Go to a base camp and talk to Professor Laventon to give him your report and return to Jubilife Village. Go into Galaxy Hall and go up the stairs until you reach Commander Kamado.

After the cutscene, the next mission will begin.
