Mysterious Mr. Gnome is a household object that can be named, stored in inventory, and kicked. However, Mysterious Mr. Gnome will mysteriously appear in different positions and in different locations on the lot from where he is initially placed. With Ambitions installed, you can see him teleport to a new location and pose in a puff of smoke, but otherwise, you don't see him move, and are unlikely to be watching when he changes position (which usually happens in early morning). Walls don't restrict where Mysterious Mr. Gnome goes.
