How to Find the Shrine

The Keo Ruug Shrine is in the Lost Woods, beside the Great Deku Tree. Read The Hero's Sword to find out how to reach this shrine.

How to Solve the Shrine

When you enter the shrine, there are stairs in front of you. If you go up the stairs, you can read the sign at the top for a hint.

Look at the big picture of constellations on the far wall. You might notice that some constellations appear more than once.

Count how many times each constellation appears in the big picture. Then go down to the area with orbs and targets. On one of the walls, you can see the constellations that appear in the big picture. Against other walls, there are some glowing blue lights, and they line up with the targets in the floor. You need to put an orb into the correct target that lines up with the constellation and the correct number of blue lights.

For example, the smallest constellation appears five times in the big picture, so put an orb in the target that lines up with the smallest constellation, and the five blue lights.

The constellation next to that appears three times, so put the orb in line with the three blue lights.

On the other side of the room, put an orb in line with the one blue light for the more complicated constellation, and put an orb in line with the two blue lights for the long constellation.

Once you do it correctly, the gate will open.

You can go straight to Keo Ruug, but if you want to find the treasure chest in this shrine, go toward Keo Ruug and then turn around. There is a picture of constellations to the left of the stairs that you just came down.

Count how many times each constellation appears. From left to right in the area with the orbs (facing the constellations), put the orbs into 4, 2, 2, and 1. The gate under the second constellation picture opens. Go there to get a Knight's Claymore.

Then talk to Keo Ruug to get the Spirit Orb.
