There are five different races of characters in the game. These races have different sets of jobs available to them.

• Human - You're probably human, so this race should be pretty familiar to you.
• Moogle - A race that has long appeared in Final Fantasy games. Moogles have fur, cat-like ears, bat-like wings, a koala-like nose, and a little bobble thing on a single antenna-like thing sticking out of their heads.
• Bangaa - A reptilian race. They have long ear-like things.
• Nu Mou - They are fuzzy and look almost like dogs.
• Viera - This all-female race looks like human females except for their rabbit-like ears, hands, and feet.
