Mat tells the Aes Sedai to tell the Amyrlin that he will be coming to retrieve something of his from the Tower soon. He doesn't say out loud that he means the Horn of Valere.

Mat asks Setalle Anan to go to an inn and watch Olver, and in return, Mat will send her back to Illian once he has someone who can make a gateway.

Elayne proposes that the Kin retire to Caemlyn rather than Tar Valon. They would receive the Crown's protection in exchange for occasional favors of Traveling and Healing. Alise demands half of the profits of such favors. Elayne insists that Healing remain free.

Elayne considers using the Black Tower to give her access to channelers who can use the Power as a weapon.
