This page explains how to trade from Pokémon Legends: Arceus to Pokémon Shining Pearl.

What You Need

To send pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Arceus to Pokémon Shining Pearl, you need a Nintendo Switch with Pokémon Home installed.

In-Game Requirements

Before you can trade from Pokémon Legends: Arceus to Pokémon Shining Pearl, you need to have the Pokédex in both games.

How to Trade

Download Pokémon Home for Nintendo Switch

Go to the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch and search for Pokémon Home, then download it.

Cartridge Not Needed

When using Pokémon Home, if you do not have a digital copy of Pokémon Legends: Arceus or Pokémon Shining Pearl, you don't need to put the Pokémon Legends: Arceus or Pokémon Shining Pearl cartridge into the cartridge slot. Pokémon Home will access the game's save data, which is not stored on the cartridge.

Move Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Arceus to Pokémon Home

In Pokémon Home on the Nintendo Switch, choose the Pokémon button, then choose Pokémon Legends: Arceus from the list of games, and choose Yes to confirm.

Use the cursor to move pokémon from your pokémon boxes in Pokémon Legends: Arceus on the right side of the screen to your Pokémon Home boxes on the left side of the screen.

When you are ready, press + and you will be asked if you want to save your changes. If you are ready to move your pokémon, choose "Save changes and exit".

Move Pokémon from Pokémon Home to Pokémon Shining Pearl

Choose the Pokémon button again, then choose Pokémon Shining Pearl from the list of games, and choose Yes to confirm.

Use the cursor to move pokémon from your Pokémon Home boxes on the left side of the screen to your pokémon boxes in Pokémon Shining Pearl on the right side of the screen. Pokémon that cannot be moved to Pokémon Shining Pearl will be marked with ?. If you save when a pokémon has a question mark (?) in the Pokémon Shining Pearl box, you may not be able to move it to other games!

When you are ready, press + and you will be asked if you want to save your changes. If you are sure that you want to move your pokémon, choose "Save changes and exit".
