How Do I Know Which Biome I'm In?

This page explains how to figure out which of the 9 biomes of the Veiled Sea you are currently in.

Overview of Biomes

In the Creature Log, you can press Y to filter the list to specific biomes. The biomes are as follows:

  • Canyon
  • Coral reef
  • Deep sea
  • Fresh water
  • Historic ruins
  • Iceberg
  • Kelp
  • Open sea
  • Rocky reef

How to Identify your Current Biome

To figure out which biome you are currently in, one method is to look for creatures that can only appear in one specific biome. See below for lists of the creatures that only appear in one specific biome. If you scan one of these creatures, you will know that you are in that specific biome. NOTE: If you scan a creature that has a heart next to its name, it means that the creature is following you or another player, so it might not be in its native biome. In other words, don't use a creature with a heart next to its name to determine your current biome.
