You reached the treasure vault on the Isle of Zekki and are faced with an unexpected new threat.

How to Unlock

The Pool of Tribute 8-player trial is unlocked by the level 63 Main Scenario Quest The Lord of the Revel.

First Phase

Assail is a high-damage attack on the player highest in the enmity list.

Rasen Kaiyko puts a circle attack marker under players. Quickly move off of these circles to avoid taking damage from them.

A random player will be marked with a red marker over their head, and will soon be hit with Yata-no-Kagami, which knocks the player back. This cannot be prevented by knockback-prevention moves.

Afterward, the knocked back player will be marked with a stack marker. The marked player should get close to other players, and the other players should stack together with the marked player to share the damage of Brightstorm.

An untargetable dark cloud will appear at the edge of the area, and it will target a random player with The Parting Clouds, a large line attack.

The next time a player is marked with a red marker over their head, their knockback will be followed by two large Seasplitter attacks to each side of the line where the player was knocked back. This will leave only a small safe line for players to stand in. Players can get close to the player with the red marker over their head so they will be closer to the safe area when it appears. If you are hit with Seasplitter, you will be knocked into the air and hit with a stacking Lightning Resistance Down debuff.

Later, two or three untargetable dark clouds will appear at the edge, and they will target a random player with large line attack markers, three times in a row. These line attacks will always target the same player each time, so the targeted player may want to try to move away from the other party members to minimize the effect of the line attacks on them.

Second Phase

After a while, the boss becomes untargetable and undergoes a transformation, reappearing at the edge of the area.

An interactable Blade's Shadow will appear near the center of the area. The main tank (i.e. the tank who has their tank stance active) needs to interact with the Blade's Shadow and perform an Active Time Maneuver, during which they need to rapidly click with the mouse (anywhere on screen), or rapidly type random keys on the keyboard.

At the same time, the other players need to kill the Ame-no-Murakumo that appears in the middle of the area. The party will be hit repeatedly by Sheer Force while the blade is alive.

If the blade isn't killed before the boss finishes casting Ame-no-Murakumo, the party will be defeated and will have to start the battle from the beginning.

After the party kills the blade, another Blade's Shadow will appear, and the main tank should once again interact with it and do the Active Time Maneuver while the party kills the Ame-no-Murakumo again.

Third Phase

Afterward, the goes back to his original size and uses many of the same attacks with the addition of some new ones.

Ukehi damages all players, and the boss sometimes uses it twice in succession.

Storm Splitter is a high damage attack on the player highest on the enmity list.

The boss will sometimes trap a player in a pile of rocks, while also creating two other piles of rocks. The one with the arrow over it is the one with the trapped player. The arrow will disappear after a moment, and players will have to watch carefully while the rocks change positions, to keep track of which of the rock piles is the correct one. When the Ama-no-Iwato become targetable, the trapped player can put a sign on it to help the other players know which one to attack. (Main Menu > Party > Signs, or target the correct Ama-no-Iwato and type /enemysign attack1) The players need to kill the correct Ama-no-Iwato to free the player. If they do not kill the rock pile before it finishes casting The Sealed Gate, the trapped player will take heavy damage.

Completing the Quest

Defeating the boss will complete one of the quest objectives for the Main Scenario Quest The Lord of the Revel. Afterward, there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.
