Crown Dungeon

Get the Dungeon Map

From the entrance, go through the north exit. In the next room, kill the moblins to unlock the upper door. Go through.

Hit the crystal switch and then go to the east where the blue blocks were. Go around the ledge and go down the stairs, then exit south. Go to the east to find the chest that contains the Dungeon Map.

Get a Key

Go back to the crystal switch and lower the red blocks. Stand to the left of the red blocks and use the seed shooter to activate the crystal switch. Exit to the left.

Get past the beamos and exit to the west.

Use the southeast exit and go across the blue bridge, then exit south. Down below, throw a bomb at the crystal switch to lower the red blocks. Then walk up to the crystal switch and hit it again to go east. In the next room, there are three statues. You have to hit them with seeds to make them show an eye. To get all three to show an eye, stand where the L is in the diagram below, and shoot southwest:

  S L

S S

A chest will appear that contains a small key.

Get a Second Key

Go back to the previous room, go to the crystal switch and hit it. Then stand north of the lowered red blocks and hit the crystal switch with the seed shooter to raise the red blocks. Go north, cross the blue bridge and exit north, then down the stairs to the left. Open the chest to receive a small key.

Get the Cane of Somaria

From the room where you got the key mentioned above, go north. Jump over the gap and go up the stairs. Exit south, then use the southeast exit. Walk across the blue area, then exit south. Use a bomb to activate the switch. Go north, up the red blocks, get onto the ledge, and hop down on the outer side of the blue blocks. Exit east.

Keep going east until you reach a room with a crystal switch. Hit the switch and exit to the southeast. Go around the ledge and go south. Unlock the door in the west wall. Go through.

You won't be able to keep all four switches down, so go down the stairs.

Use the seed shooter on the rotating barriers to light the four torches in the corner and unlock the door. Go through.

Step onto the switch to see a pattern. There are colorful statues to the left that you have to push into the same pattern as the colorful tiles. Just be sure not to push any statues against the left wall and you will be fine. If you mess up, just exit and try again.

Once you move the statues into the correct places, open the chest to receive the Cane of Somaria. This item creates a block that you can push around. If you create another block, the previous one disappears.

Get a Third Key

Go east and then go up the stairs. Push the grey statues onto three of the switches, then use the Cane of Somaria to create a block on the final switch. Push it onto the switch if you didn't create the block right on top of the switch. Open the chest to get a key.

Get a Fourth Key

Go east, then north. Go down the stairs that are within the blue blocks. Get past the beamos and lift the pots to get to the stairs on the left side of the room.

Down here, go to the right and use the cane of somaria to create a block that you can jump onto to reach the other side. Go east. Create another block in this room to reach the ladder on the right side. Go up.

Use the seed shooter to lower the blocks, then go past the red blocks and use the seed shooter again to lower the blue blocks and go north. The statues move in unison, but you must put them onto the two red tiles. Use the cane of somaria to create a block that prevents one of the statues from moving. When they are aligned properly, open the chest to get a key.

Get a Fifth Key

Go back the way you came, making sure that the blue blocks are down. Go down the stairs and make your way west, climbing the ladder at the end. Get past the beamos and go up the stairs on the right. If you are trapped by blue blocks, you will have to go back the way you came and hit the crystal switch.

Go north and then west until you reach the crystal switch. Hit it to lower the red blocks and then go back to the east and go down the stairs that were blocked by red blocks. stand on the upper-right red block and hit the crystal switch, then walk left to land on the blue blocks, hit the crystal switch, then hop down to the left. Exit west.

Get past the Ball and Chain guy and the Like Like and go down the stairs in the upper left corner.

Hop over the platforms on the right and go up the ladder. There is an invisible path in this dark room that allows you to reach the chest in the center of the room. Find the path by creating a block with the cane of somaria and pushing it. Start by creating a block to the right of the bottom-right tile near the stairs. Push the block until it disappears, indicating that there is no path on the spot where it disappeared. Create a new block below you. Continue creating new blocks and pushing them around until you find the path to the treasure chest. Beware of dead ends. Open the chest to get a small key. Use the switch hook on the stone diamond to go back to the stairs. Go down, then hop across the platforms to get to the ladder on the other side.

Reach the Mini-Boss

Up above, go east, then go past the crystal switch barrier and go up the stairs. From there, continue east until you reach a room with two big gaps in the floor. Use a pegasus seed to hop over these gaps. Unlock the door on the right side and go through.

Smasher

Smasher is in this room. It throws a ball at you. Pick up the ball with the power bracelet and throw it back at Smasher. If you wait too long, the ball will disappear and reappear in a random spot. Pegasus Seeds can help you reach Smasher more quickly while carrying the ball.

Get the Compass

After defeating Smasher, exit through the north door.

Use the cane of somaria to create a block on the switch next to the bridge. Cross the bridge. Use the switch hook to reach the chest, which contains the compass.

Get the Boss Key

Go up from the chest where you found the compass and go down the stairs.

Jump across the moving platforms and go down the ladder on the right side of the east room.

Get past the moblins and darknuts and go up the stairs at the top of the room.

Lower the blue blocks if they are up, then stand on the blue area and use the seed shooter to hit the crystal switch. You will now be standing on the blue blocks. Stay on the blue blocks and go left, then exit to the south. Use a key on the key block and exit north. Go across the red area and exit west.

Use the key on the key block and hit the crystal switch to raise the red blocks. Get up on the ledge at the bottom right of the screen and jump onto the red blocks. Exit to the east, jump onto the blue blocks, then exit north. Get past the beamos and go down the stairs in the top-right of the room.

Use the switch hook or any other long-range item to activate the crystal switch and lower the red blocks. Stand on the red area and hit the crystal switch again to activate it. Throw a bomb at the switch and hop down to the left before it explodes. The blue blocks should be up. Then go left and go up the stairs and use the key on the door.

Open the chest to receive 50 rupees. Return to the last room and activate the switch, making sure that the blue blocks go down before going to the room to the west.

Go down the stairs within the blue area. Use the cane of somaria to create a block to get onto the upper ledge. Then go up the ladder on the right side of the room.

Hop into the center of the room. The owl statue says "bring all to me." The objective is to push all of the statues so that they surround the owl on the grey tiles. Statues of the same color all move in unison, so use the cane of somaria to create a block and prevent statues from moving when you don't want them to. The color pattern doesn't matter as long as all of the grey tiles around the owl are covered with statues. Once it's surrounded, a chest appears that contains the Boss Key.

Reach the Boss Door

Go back the way that you came, lowering the blue blocks if they aren't already. In the room with the Beamos and stairs, go south. Get up on the ledge and jump onto the red tiles. Exit to the south. Go northeast and then east to reach the stairs. Go down them, then follow the straightforward path back to the upper level.

On 1F, go south to Smasher's room and use the warp point to go back to the entrance. Go north twice, then southeast. Follow the path around the ledge until you can't go any farther south. Then go east until you reach the boss door. Go through it.

Smog

You must use the cane of somaria to make the small clouds merge together. The small clouds spit out blue blobs, but the blobs can't go past blocks, so hide behind blocks to avoid them. You can also destroy the blobs with your sword. The small clouds move along the walls of blocks. You can change their paths by using the cane of somaria to put a block in the way. The small cloud will go along the block that you created. You can use this strategy to move the small clouds to other walls or make the clouds collide with each other. You can hit the clouds with your sword to stop them for a moment. After you put all of the clouds together, Smog goes back to normal size. When Smog is back to normal size, hit it repeatedly with your sword. It spits out lightning bolts at full size, so be careful.

Get the Essence

When you have defeated Smog, go north to receive the Sacred Soil. Outside, the Maku Tree will say that she senses another Essence on Rolling Ridge. A Goron will come by and say that you should play games on Rolling Ridge.
