Lumiose Gym

After exploring north Lumiose City, you enter the recently illuminated Prism Tower to take on the Electric trainer, Clemont.

Introduction

Lumiose Gym features Electric-type pokémon. Electric pokémon are only weak to Ground moves. Furthermore, Ground-type pokémon are immune to Electric type moves. The only thing tricky about this gym is Emolga, who is an Electric/Ground type, making it immune to Ground moves. Instead, Emolga is weak to Rock and Ice moves.

It is recommended to bring a Gible/Gabite/Garchomp, because one of the Gym Leader's pokémon knows a grass-type move, which is strong against most Ground-type pokémon. However, Grass-type moves are not super-effective against Gible/Gabite/Garchomp because it is part Dragon, which is strong against Grass-type moves. You can catch one in Route 13: Lumiose Badlands.

In the bottom floor of Prism Tower, there is an elevator. Go inside and you'll go up a floor. Clemont's younger sister Bonnie will appear. She asks you to walk forward onto the glowing square, where she will ask you a quiz question.

First she will show you a shadow of a pokémon. After you look at the silhouette, press a button, then look at the numbers of the answers. After that, walk up to the trainer under the correct number. The pokémon that you see is random, but the correct answer on 1F is always going to be number three. However, if you want some more experience, talk to the other trainers first to battle them as well. If you only talk to the trainer with the correct answer, you won't be able to battle the other trainers on 1F anymore.

Trainer number one (wrong answer) is Schoolboy Arno. He has a level 34 Pachirisu.

Trainer number two (wrong answer) is Schoolboy Sherlock. He has a level 34 Stunfisk.

Trainer number three (correct answer) is Schoolboy Finnian. He has a level 34 Dedenne.

After you talk to the correct trainer, you go up to 2F.

Step on the glowing square. You will once again see a shadow of a pokémon. Press a button after you are done looking at the silhouette, then look at the numbers of the answers. On 2F, the correct answer is always number one. Remember, if you get the correct answer on the first try, you won't be able to battle the other trainers on this floor anymore, so you might want to get the wrong answers on purpose if you want more battle experience.

Trainer number one (correct answer) is Rising Star Estel. She has a level 35 Raichu.

Trainer number two (wrong answer) is Rising Star Nelly. She has a level 35 Magneton.

Trainer number three (wrong answer) is Rising Star Helen. She has a level 35 Manectric.

You will go up to 3F after you get the correct answer.

Lumiose Gym 3F

Step on the glowing square to see another pokémon shadow. Press a button after you are done looking, then look at the numbers of the answers. The correct answer on 3F is always number three. If you want more experience, talk to the wrong trainers first, because you won't be able to fight them anymore after you get the correct answer.

Trainer number one (wrong answer) is Ace Trainer Mathis. He has a level 36 Lanturn.

Trainer number two (wrong answer) is Ace Trainer Maxim. He has a level 36 Electrode.

Trainer number three (correct answer) is Ace Trainer Rico. He has a level 36 Ampharos.

You automatically go up to 4F after you get the correct answer.

Lumiose Gym 4F

This is the final quiz floor. Bonnie will show you shadows of three different pokémon, then she names a specific type of pokémon and asks you which one it was. The correct answer on 4F is number two. If you want more experience, talk to the wrong trainers first. Otherwise you won't be able to battle them anymore.

Trainer number one (wrong answer) is Poké Fan Abigail. She has a level 34 Minun.

Trainer number two (correct answer) is Poké Fan Lydie. She has a level 34 Plusle.

Trainer number three (wrong answer) is Poké Fan Tara. She has a level 34 Pikachu.

After you battle the correct trainer, you automatically go up to the top floor, where you find Gym Leader Clemont.
