Alola Route 8

After you complete Kiawe's trial, you can go through the tunnel from Route 7 to reach Route 8.

Explore Route 8

Get the green sparkle to the right of the white building. Then go into the building. Talk to the girl near the entrance and she will ask you to catch a Stufful, then come back and show her your Pokédex. She will give you 5000 Pokédollars if you do.

Go outside and go to the left from the building. Colress will stop you. He gives you TM43 Flame Charge and encourages you to use that move in your upcoming trial.

The left side of the Aether Foundation building is a Poké Finder spot.

Go through the grass near here to find a path behind the Aether Foundation building. You will find a Big Pearl at the end of this path.

Go back to the main road, then go to the left and you can battle Backpacker Kiana. She has a level 20 Eevee. You get 480 Pokédollars for winning.

If you leave the Fossil Restoration Center, go straight across the street and you can find a hidden Iron on the rock.

Up ahead, you find the Route 8 Pokémon Center.

To the left of the Pokémon Center is the Roadside Motel. Gladion is staying in one of the rooms, but he tells you to leave if you go in.

Go around the left side of the motel to find a Dive Ball.

You can also battle Golfer Maile, who has a level 20 Meowth. You get 1200 Pokédollars for winning.

Southwest of the hotel, there is a rocky area where a Wimpod is walking around. If you try to go up to it, it will run into its den. But if you get into the water with Lapras, you can go around to the den and prevent Wimpod from running away.

As you go to the left in the water, you can get a Water Stone that is sitting underwater.

Above that, there is a small island where you can fight Karate Family Samuel and Guy. They have a level 21 Machop and a level 19 Machop. You get 900 Pokédollars for winning.

If you get off of the island at the north end, you can go east and get off on the rocky area where there is a Wimpod. Approach it and it will try to run away, but it can't reach its den, so you can touch it to have a battle with it and try to catch it.

If you are ready, go east to reach the northern part of Route 5, which you couldn't reach earlier.

Northern Route 5

Before going through the captain's barricade to reach Lush Jungle, you can go south from the gate to explore the north part of Route 5.

To the right of the path, there is a hidden PP Up.

Go south from there and jump down the one-way ledge. There are a couple of dens to the left that pokémon might come out of. There is a hidden Nugget in front of the left den.

To the left of those dens, you can battle Youngster Caleb. He has a level 20 Charjabug. You get 400 Pokédollars for winning.

To the left of Caleb, there is a green sparkle that you can collect with the Zygarde Cube.

There is some grass to the left of where you found the sparkle. Go up through the grass.
